Xueqi Li

Xueqi Li is currently an Associate Professor at ICT, CAS. He received his Ph.D. degree from ICT, CAS under the supervision of Prof. Ninghui Sun (Member of CAE). From 2018 to 2020, he was also co-advised by Prof. Yuan Xie as a joint Ph.D. student in the SEAL lab at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB). He also serves as a research assistant for strategic studies at CAS & CAE. His current research focuses on domain-specific PIM accelerators, system-architecture-technology cross-layer optimization, and unlocking HPC/AI for Life Sciences.

Doctoral Students

Wanqi Liu

Wanqi Liu is currently a Ph.D. student working under the supervision of Prof. Guangming Tan. After received his B.S. degree in Electronic Information Engineering in 2018, he joined the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICT, CAS). His research interests include domain-specific architecture (DSA), and hardware accelerator design. His is now focusing on the research of data compression accelerators.

Yewen Li

Yewen Li is currently a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Guangming Tan. He received the B.S. degree in 2019 from the Department of Information Engineering at Minzu University of China, Beijing, China. His research interests span computer architecture and computational biology. In particular, He is interested in developing algorithms and domain-specific hardware accelerators that enable faster and cheaper progress in biology and medicine.

Ruihao Gao

Ruihao Gao is currently a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Guangming Tan. He received his B.E. degree in 2020 from School of computer science and engineering at Southeast University, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. His research interests are (1) domain-specific architecture and (2) RISC-V for high performance computing.

Zhichun Li

Zhichun Li is currently an undergraduate student in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He has received a postgraduate recommendation to ICT, CAS for further research, and will be under the supervision of Prof. Ninghui Sun. He is actively exploring architecture designing studies, and is mainly interested in Processing In Memory, Domain Specific Architecture.

Shunchen Shi

Shunchen Shi is currently a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Ninghui Sun. He received his B.E. degree in 2022 from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China. After that, he joined the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICT, CAS). His research interests are (1) domain-specific architecture (DSA) and (2)processing in memory (PIM).

Master Students

Xingzhuo Fu

Xingzhuo Fu is currently a graduate student under the supervision of Senior Engineer Peiheng Zhang. He graduated from the Beijing Institute Of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Computer. He is interested in designing high-performance algorithms to make biological algorithms faster and more efficient.

Ruibao Song

Ruibao Song is currently a M.S. student under the supervision of Prof. Xun Wang. He received a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Technology in 2021. His research interest is designing high-performance algorithms on GPUs. Currently, he is focusing on researching accelerated algorithms for time series analysis.

Zhaowu Pan

Zhaowu Pan is currently an M.S. student under the supervision of Peiheng Zhang. He received a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in 2021 from the School of Biomedical Engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology, Taiyuan, Shanxi, China. He is equipped with basic knowledge of Biomedical/Genetics along with fair C++/Python programming ability. Currently, his interest is in developing compiler for Domain Specific Accelerators.

Yang Zhang

Yang Zhang is currently a graduate student under the supervision of Peiheng Zhang. He graduated from SUN YAT-SEN University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Technology. His research interest is ML System ：(1) GPU training system (2) GPU inference engine.

Jun Zhou

Jun Zhou is currently a graduate student under the supervision of Senior Engineer Peiheng Zhang. He graduated from the Central South University with a bachelor's degree in Electronics Information Science and Technology. He has basic knowledge of FPGA with practical development experience. Currently, his interest is in Domain Specific Architecture.

Fan Yang

Fan Yang is currently an undergraduate majoring in computer science and technology at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has received a postgraduate recommendation to ICT, CAS for further research, and will be under the supervision of Senior Engineer Peiheng Zhang. His research interests are (1) domain-specific architecture (DSA) and (2)processing in memory (PIM).

Professor

Ninghui Sun

He is a professor at ICT, CAS. He received his B.S. degree from Peking University in 1989 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from ICT in 1992 and 1999, respectively. He is the chief designer of the Dawning series of high-performance computers. His research interests include computer architecture and operating systems. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
